Heading to China Software Industry's Brand Competition Times

Hosted by the China Software Industry Association (CSIA) and Shenyang Municipal Economy & Informatization Commission, organized by www.cnies.com and Shenyang International Software Park, the 2011 China (Shenyang) Software & Information Technology Service Industry Brand Conference was solemnly held in Shenyang on October 20, 2011. The theme was “brand upgrades competitiveness”. More than 200 participants, including officials from CSIA and local government, representatives from 60 domestic key software enterprises, and media reporters, attended this conference.
Based on the words of Ge Su, Deputy Director of Shenyang Municipal Economy & Informatization Commission, as the provincial capital city, economic, cultural, commercial and transportation center in Northeast China, key domestic industrial, historic and cultural city, Shenyang, issuing preferential policies to stimulate the software industry development and achieving informatized construction of new industrialization by establishing special fund for software industry development for comprehensive integration of informatization and industrialization, has been making great efforts in developing itself into famous China software city. The annual output value of software industry has maintained 40% increase in the past five consecutive years. In 2010, ranked the 1st in Northeast China, the total software industry income reached RMB5.6 billion.
Conference participants visited Shenyang International Software Park. As Mr. Zhao Jiuhong, Chariman & President of Shenyang International Software Park Co., Ltd. introduced, ever since its establishment in 2007, Shenyang International Software Park has been entitled the only “National Hi-tech Venture Service Center” in Shenyang and one of the first companies in Northeast China, “National Private-owned Technology Enterprises Incubator”, “National Comic & Animation Industry Base”, “National Model High-Tech Park”, “National 863 Software Professional Incubator Shenyang (Hunnan) Demonstrative Base”, “National Torch Plan Software Industry Base”. Now, it has become a software and information service industry zone, which has distinctive industrial scale and impact over the entire Northeast Asia. There are about 180 enterprises in the park, 14 of world fortune 500, 23 listed companies, 7 of China’s Top 100 software enterprises, including EMC, TI-Jupiter Vision from the U.S.A., Canada Bombardier (China) R&D Center, LG CNS from South Korea, NTT DATA, O-RID and MICROAD from Japan, AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, Kingdee, EVOC Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., DHC and Nandasoft. The in-park companies are mainly engaged in application software R&D, embed software R&D, ITO, BPO etc, the business scope covers more than 30 industries, including industrial, transportation, energy, telecommunication, electronic power, social insurance, finance, medical service, comic and animation.
At this conference, CSIA announced “2011 China Software and Information Technology Service Industry Brand List”, in which honours were presented to those entperises that have achieved outstanding accomplishment and individuals who have been devoting themselves into the brand establishment. Based on the words of Mr. Xiao Yaping, Conference Chief Organizer, Executive Member of CSIA and Chief Editor of www.cnies.com, obvious gap still exists when compared with traditional domestic industrial enterprises and overseas software enterprises. Microsoft is ranked among Top 3 in terms of global brand. At present, China doesn’t have any brand that has outstanding international influence in software and information technology service industry, which has become the most important barrier for Chinese software enterprises to occupy the international market. The main purpose of this conference is to wake up the sense of brand establishment in the whole industry. In the Some Preferential Policies for Further Development of Software & IC Industries issued by the State Council at the beginning of this year, the idea of strengthening the brand establishment to increase the competitiveness was clearly stated.
